When our administration took office, we recognized that early childhood education is the foundation of a prosperous Nakuru. Today, our groundbreaking Lishe na Mama Uji Program is providing daily, nutritious porridge to over 65,000 ECDE learners across our sub-counties.
This program has done more than just fight child malnutrition; it has actively boosted school enrollment and retention across the county. By pairing this nutritional support with over Sh952 million in equitably distributed bursaries and building modern kitchen facilities, we are ensuring that no child in Nakuru has their future limited by hunger or lack of school fees.
